In the year when the protestant church is celebrating the 500 years of reformation, the churches in Moldova decided to come together and present the reminder of the "five solas" of the reformation. The host church of the event was Agape Christian Church in the western part of the city. Kishinev Bible Church was the co-sponsor of this event and Evghenii was one of the keynote speakers in a conference that brought together over a hundred people from various regions in the country including ministers from about twenty churches. The five "solas" are:
Solo Cristo - Christ Alone Solo Gratie - Grace Alone Solo Fide - Faith Alone Solo Scriptura - Scripture Alone Solo Deo Gloria - Glory to God Alone
In the end of May the Baptist union of Moldova together with an evangelist Sammy Tippit held a series of evangelistic meetings. Evghenii was invited to be a part of this outreach that gave an opportunity to share the good news to over 4000 young people from across the country. As a result over 500 young people turned their hearts to the Good News and will be discipled by the local churches.
The photos are from the last night meeting held at the National Palace in the downtown of the capital city. The message was preceded by a series of singers, a drama team and a performing painter.
All the young people who came forward have received a New Testament as a gift. The following week they were all contacted and encouraged to join the local church.

The choices often are unclear whether to enroll in university or get a trade skill. KBC Youth Ministry "Upgrade" had organized an evening for the seniors. We have invited Christian professional from various walks of life who shared their stories and wisdom. The speakers included the students studying in Romanian universities and even a video from one of teens who came to know the Lord through our ministry and is currently studying in Azerbaijan. They shared their experiences, expectations and misconceptions about studying abroad.
Their presentations then were followed up by an employee of an international NGO and a professional working for an international business in accounting. In summary, a presentation of Moldova Bible Seminary was made for those considering full-time ministry as a lifelong calling.

Lydia was born in a small village in Ukraine. Her father was considered "kulak" since his family was a little better off due to hard work. As many other families in their situation, they gave up all possessions for the sake of the Soviet State and moved away to another region. As soon as she finished school the WWII began. Lydia went to technical institute and worked in agriculture. As a student she would receive one pound of bread so she and her mother could survive. Since she needed to also work she eventual had to drop out of school. Once back from war the father left their family. Lydia worked for the railroad as an odd man. Later she took a class in accounting and ended up working in this position for the Soviet Railway system. She married a military man from Siberia and they were sent to Moldova as it was recently made part of USSR. Lydia’s husband and son passed away. She has a living daughter who migrated to Germany and occasionally helps her. Lydia has cancer and is officially disabled. Eleven speakers shared the Biblical principles as well as practical workshops.
(video by Dain Christian) (by Rev. Dave Roberts, Georgetown, TX) Over the past two weeks, it’s been my privilege to teach a Spiritual Formation class at Moldova Bible Seminary on Spiritual Disciplines. This was my 12th trip to Moldova to teach and one of the most fruitful. The students were engaged from the first day and there were many times during class sessions where I just sensed God working in all of our lives as we went through the material. On the final day of class, the students presented their term papers and it allowed me to see their individual hearts for the work of the Kingdom. These are amazing young people who have a deep commitment to Christ and truly desire His calling fulfilled in their lives. Not only that, we have so much fun together. I love these students. I am so thankful to the Lord Jesus first of all for allowing me the opportunity to be part of what He is doing in Moldova. I’m also thankful to Eugene, Serghei, and the entire staff of MBS for the emphasis they put on quality and their heart for these young people. Can’t wait to go back!
MBS has started a new school year with twenty-six students with eight Freshmen studying English and sixteen studying in Pastoral Ministries and Christian Education tracks. These students has amazing summer of ministry working in total thirty-four evangelistic camps, going on two. missions trips and weekly visiting orphanages and elderly.
Durung the second week of September a team of six short-term workers joined KBC team in an effort to build five new cabins at the camp ground. The camp serves over five hundred teens every summer. The new cabins built during this project equal six and a half by square footage as three cabins can be used for class-rooms during retreats and camps like Apologetics Discipleship and English Camp.
FBC Belton, TX has sacrificially given over the years to make this camp the best facility for kids and enable our ministry to function "bribe-free" by being up to state codes. The old camp cabins were built during the USSR times and needed to be demolished. KBC Ministry and our church express our deepest gratitude to all who have been praying and giving toward this ministry. All the glory may go to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |
