Evghenii had an opportunity to be one of the keynote speakers at the city-wide conference for men in the capital city of Chisinau. The conference was organized by Voice of Truth church together with several other churches and ministries. The all-day even has brought together 230 men from couple dozen churches from the city and from towns across the country.
The event speakers came from various backgrounds with one goal - to address the issue of disappointment in life. Evghenii spoke on dealing with disappointed in yourself and how God's perspective on us changes everything. When disappointment is caused by things that are beyond our control and choices, it is the value God places on us that can allow us to be men that God intended for us to be.
Pastor Vitali P. has been the main organizing force behind the conference and also concluded the conference by sharing about the true source of strength and how to continually live by being connected to this source.
Valeri G. is a member of the parliament in Moldova and spoke about dealing with disappointment in ministry. Mihai M. from the Christian university shared about times when there is a temptation to be disappointed in God.
The time was filled with fellowship, worship and opportunities to pray with and for each other.
As a result of the ministry of two Moldova Bible Seminary graduates (Vitaly and Natalie B.) to hearing impaired for over last ten years, in the end of 2016, summer a group of hearing impaired teens came to Kishinev Bible Church. This family learned the sign-language and tried to reach the hearing impaired community with the Gospel. In the end of the last summer, Ivan, a dynamic young man came to know the Lord and asked to be baptized at Kishinev Bible Church. He began to grow and share his new found faith with his friends. A number of them began to come to the church. Through God’s providence, Iroda, a young believer from Uzbekistan who came to study in Moldova. She is from one of our church plants there. Since her partner are hearing-impared, Iroda speaks fluent sign-language. She began to help translate worship services. Over this last summer the group has grown to fifteen to twenty visitors on Sundays. Three young people got baptized in September 2017. This month the ministry has celebrated one year anniversary of outreach with a special event. This is an amazing way of outreach the Lord has given Kishinev Bible Church. The Lord continues to bless the wonderful group of people and we are blessed with them as part of our body in Chisinau.
During the last four weeks Evghenii was invited to come and present the reasons for the existance of God to about forty-five high-schoolers, that are new this season at the club ministry locted in the northern part of the city. Every Friday night, Evgheni would teach on a new aspect of the reasons for God and then spend about an hour connecting with the teens answering their questions. It was wonderful to have the opportunityt to speak into the lives of upcoming generation. In addition, it was wonderful to see three of current Moldova Bible Seminary students ministering through this wonderful outreach After one of the clubs the Good News was presented and a challenge to consider the relationship with God was given. A young man named D., came up and said that he wants to accept Christ’s gift. Feodor and I had an honor of leading this young man to the feet of Jesus as he prayed. One of MBS students, who lives in the same part of town, has committed to help this young man find a way to church and came with him on Sunday to the worship service. It is amazing to see various generations of MBS students serve together to accomplish the great commission.
Kishinev Bible Church has launched a class those from the church who desire to learn the Russian Sign Language (RSL). The group started with a dozen of KBC people who desire to serve the hearing impaired community. In 2016 the Lord opened a new dimension to Kishinev Bible Church. The Lord brought a group of hearing impaired young people to the church through he ministry of two MBS graduates. As the group has been growing there turned a need for more translators. KBC is now offering a year-long class to help raise more translators and help serve the community. The desire is to help provide translators for church services and other church related events, including conferences, Bible studies, concerts, etc. Moldova Bible Seminary leadership has participated in the international general gathering of Euro-Asian Accredication Association now as a full member. Even more Russian speaking people are scattered across the globe. The vision of KBC Ministries and our outreach starting from Moldova is to reach to the ends of the earth. Our students are often able to work in the areas where western missionaries are not able to go. Our partnership in training and sending is an amazing opportunity to further the Gospel. Thank you for being a part of our work. This new development in MBS will allow us to provide an even higher quality theological training as well as send more Christian workers to the field. Andy A. came to Moldova over five years ago to help assess the possibility of a team from his church to come and help build some new cabins. He thought this was going to be a planning trip. But as soon as he got to the camp with his friends Ken and Mark, they began hands-on-planning. In two days at the cam they helped design and build the first two cabins. For five years Andy worked hard to help make the dream a reality. He has contributed, helped raise funds, recruited people (including his son) and came to build. This September, Andy came to build and even lay tile in the last cabin. We are very grateful to the Lord for Andy, his friendship, all the hard work, and for his commitment to see the camp continually bring the glory to the Lord.
The total number of cabins at our camp is now thirty. This is a completion of a five year re-construction of the cabins. These last five new cabins allow the camp to serve up to one hundred people at a time. The team from First Baptist Church of Belton, TX has traveled for fifth year in a row. Many on the team members traveled on several trips and have invested time and skills. We are very grateful to all who prayed, contributed, and came to make this a reality.
